ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals — trading card size, 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Every card on this site is a one-of-a-kind original. I made it. You get to hold it.
Each card comes protected in a penny sleeve and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity with an image of the work.

Art Card Accessories
Art Cards, Editions and Originals (ACEOs) greatly benefit from the trading card industry’s established storage solutions, such as sleeves, top loaders, binders, and storage boxes. Card sleeves, including inner sleeves for a snug fit and outer sleeves for added protection, shield the art cards from fingerprints, scratches, dust, moisture, and even accidental spills, preserving their condition and artistic integrity. Rigid top loaders offer structural support against bending and creasing, while binders with acid-free pages allow for organized display and easy browsing.
Art Card History
ACEO and ATC Art Cards benefit from the art trading card tradition.
- Artist Trading Cards (ATCs): In 1997, Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann created 1,200 small art cards, the same size as sports cards. The original idea was for artists to make and swap these cards with each other, rather than selling them.
- Art Cards, Editions and Originals (ACEOs): When these cards are sold instead of traded, they are called ACEOs. The term was introduced in 2004 by artist Lisa Luree, who sold the cards on eBay.
ACEO cards are in the tradition of miniature and affordable art.
